For years I have been cooking milk rolls ( in my opinion the wartime food equivalent of that very famous and much desired hair style, the Victory Rolls), and always cooking them with victorious results, but I think this must be my first successful attempt at the proper victory rolls!!! I heartily shout ‘Hurrah, hurrah’ while dancing the sailor’s hornpipe.
Wartime fodder- Milk Rolls. |
So what did they come out like?...
…'ahh alright, I suppose!' said with an unenthusiastic shrug of the shoulders. Haha, no I shall share the pictures as I am well and truly pleased as Mr. Punch giving ‘old Judy’ a good wallop.
Still the same 'part set' from Sunday... |
Anyone notice the new setting? Well, I fancied having a proper portrait. You know, like the ones people use to have taken to mark their birthdays, engagements and the like. Ok, so I’m not engaged and I have missed my 21st by nearly a year, but why should that stop me, hey! I had hoped for better- it’s a bit hard with out direction, and when you’re moving more than a fiddlers elbow to set the self timer, you just loose patience (well I do at any rate!). Mind you I don’t think I would take direction from a photographer very well either, so I have to make do or lump it!
Showing off my Yellow lacy knit.... Which I actually finished knitting in February, but not entirely completed (crochet edgings, sewing up) until quite recently.
The next photo is my favourite, for some reason looking at it I don't feel like I have changed one bit from how I was when I was a nipper. Strange! It's probably only me who can see it or is it how I feel!?
Well my hair has changed- I was so fair! |
Well that's all from Tickety here...
